Our founders Gary Wasserman and Steve Sockolov have nearly 80 years experience in the men’s and women’s apparel industry. While working in both the retail and wholesale arms of the fashion industry, they realized that a gap had developed in the market for an affordable luxury tee shirt.

Dissatisfied with the mass market and promotional tee shirts that were emblazoned with logos or messages, consumers were looking for a relaxed way of dressing that was more fashion aware and less underwear. Men and women wanted a flexible garment that would properly accessorize the other high quality items in their wardrobes.

Seeing this opportunity, Gary and Steve realized that to deliver a product to meet this need they would have to start at the beginning with the right fabric, the correct colors, the perfect fit and the ideal finish. From this new start grew the men’s and women’s products you see today at LeftCoastTee.com and at over 50 of the top men’s and women’s specialty apparel stores in America and Canada.

Left Coast Tee’s mission is to establish the first affordable luxury tee shirt that is as fashionable under a suit, blazer or sport coat as it would be with outerwear or sportswear. Our tee shirts’ quality and finish as well as their sophisticated color palette allow you to wear them with your entire wardrobe – whether at the office or casually around town. The enhanced value and flexibility that several of these tee shirts can add to your wardrobe is tremendous.
 

Left Coast Tee’s primary products are made from the finest hand-picked Peruvian Pima cotton, and have an exclusive Left Coast Tee finish. Our 100% cotton fabric provides the most comfortable textile for year around wear-ability – especially in the Sun Belt or other humid areas. Our cotton/stretch fabric is great for traveling when easy care is essential. This fabric is also ideal for golfers, and other sports enthusiasts, when additional stretch offers an advantage.

The men’s products have a signature Pima cotton stripe taping in the interior neck area. All men’s shirts have side vents, allowing them to be worn either in or out. On the lower front left side is our tonal embroidered “T.” Our special finish adds a luxury look and feel to the product as well as reducing shrinkage to approximately 4%.

The women’s products all have a signature tonal Satin Stretch trim on the necklines. Our 100% cotton tees have an exclusive finish and are very light weight. All the Classic fits are fuller, and slightly shorter in the length, and have a signature French seaming on the sides, adding a shaped effect. All the Trim or Fitted styles are slightly longer in the body length and closer fitting, as well as having deeper neck lines.

Left Coast Tee is not only interested in creating fine apparel, we are also interested in supporting causes that benefit children and/or provide educational opportunities. Therefore, we will be donating a portion of the annual profits of Left Coast Tee to various charities recommended by our consumers and selected by our board of directors.
